Lee Friedman has over 20 years of experience in design and visual communication. He has received awards from the AIGA, the Society of Publication Designers, Communication Arts, and Graphis. He is also a former Creative Director of Dwell magazine and was the Founding Creative Director of Everywhere, an online and print travel publication.
Lee has taught at various institutions including the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), SUNY New Paltz, The San Francisco Art Institute, California College of the Arts (CCA), and San Francisco State University. He holds a BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute, and an MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Prior to his work in design, Lee began his career as a professional photographer in New York and Paris where he shot fashion, still-life, and portraiture for advertising and editorial clients including Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, W, Bergdorf Goodman, and The New York Times Magazine.
